Michael Crinson of Crinson Law LLP was appointed an Associate Judge of the Federal Court today. Appointments were also made today to the Superior Court of Ontario and the Superior Court of Quebec.

Today’s appointment is the first appointment directly to the role of “Associate Judge” since it was renamed from the previous position of “Prothonotary”.

• Loretta P. Merritt, Partner at Torkin Manes LLP in Toronto, was appointed a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario in Toronto.
• Marie-Eve Bélanger, Partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Montréal, is appointed a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montréal.
• Shaun E. Finn, Partner at BCF Business Law in Montréal, is appointed a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montréal.
• Alexandre Bien-Aimé Bastien, Partner at Shadley Bien-Aimé LLP in Montréal, is appointed a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montréal.
