Canada and the EU have announced that they have agreed to set September 21, 2017 as the date to start the provisional application of CETA. 

Intellectual property watchers are waiting for implementation of changes relating to the patent linkage system, supplementary protection for pharmaceutical products and geographic indicators (see earlier post).
