The Honourable Richard Bell, formerly of the Court of Appeal of New Brunswick, has been appointed to the Federal Court. Appointments were also made to the Tax Court, Nova Scotia courts, Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick, and Ontario Superior Court.

Justice Bell was appointed to replace Justice Hansen, who elected to become supernumerary judge as of December 8, 2014. Prior to being appointed to the New Brunswick courts, Justice Bell practiced in the area of labour and employment law, administrative law, and Aboriginal law.
