Sylvain Laporte, Commissioner of Patents, Registrar of Trade-marks and CEO at CIPO was selected by Managing IP for its list of the 50 most influential people in intellectual property.
Mr. Laporte was appointed to his role at CIPO in April 2011 and has been involved a number of projects at CIPO including dealing with updating CIPO’s technology, outreach to innovators and patentable subject matter.
Included on Managing IP’s list of influential people in intellectual property are Larry Page (Google), David Kappos (USPTO) Kerstin Joma (EC) and Chief Judge Randall Rader (CAFC).
