Justice Crampton has been appointed Chief Justice of the Federal Court. Mary Gleason has been appointed a judge of the Federal Court. She was formerly a lawyer at Norton Rose practising labour, employment and human rights law.
Justice Crampton has been a judge in the Federal Court since his appointment in November 2009. He replaces former Chief Justice Justice Lutfy, who elected to become a supernumerary judge earlier this year. The Prime Minister made the announcement this afternoon along with appointments in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
